Wonderland isn't only about new music. We're delighted that the brilliant Emily Carew Woodard has produced a series of brand new illustrations which are projected during performances (when promoters have the facility), and thrilled that the celebrated author Louis de Bernieres is wrote a special script to tie our pieces together.
For promoters looking for a concert specially tailored towards young children, we've been able to offer an adapted version of Lewis Carroll's own 'Nursey Alice'. Adults love it too!
LOUIS DE BERNIERES, who lives in Norfolk, published his first novel in 1990 and was selected by Granta magazine as one of the twenty Best of Young British Novelists in 1993. Since then he has become well known internationally as a writer and his sixth novel, Birds Without Wings, came out in 2004. Captain Corelli's Mandolin (1994), won the Commonwealth Writers' Prize for Best Novel and was made into a major Hollywood movie.
